Renal Patientview documents for Edinburgh

Renal PatientView is a system for looking up elements of your electronic renal unit record online. It also provides links to relevant information and contact details. It has been created in a national project conceived by RIXG, the Renal Information Exchange Group. The documents linked below are for Edinburgh but can be modified for other centres:

To enrol a new patient:

  1. Patient sees the system, or info about it, and likes it.
  2. Patient signs enrolment form. Countersigned by member of staff.
  3. Enrolment form passed to a local RPV administrator: Alison Stevenson, Neil Turner, Christine Jansen, Wendy Metcalfe.
  4. Administrator enrols patient by activating 'send' in Proton, and registering patient's ID with RPV server.
  5. Administrator sends logins to patient and GP.
  6. Patient should be able to see info the following morning or sooner.
